Hello all. I found S.M.A.R.T Habits Saturday The Lazy Organizer last Saturday for the first time. I love this idea because I need to start some good habits. I was going to be up by 7 a.m. and get myself ready and the started before my kids woke up. Well I got up before all my boys 6 out of 7 days. I was up at 7:30 a.m. but only because I let my baby girl be my alarm clock. I still fed her and got her and I ready for the day and had some devotional time before the boys got up. So it wasn't a complete wash out.
I really need to stick to a schedule. I feel like so much of my day is waisted. I'm a master at writing them up but starting them and sticking to them is a whole other story. My main excuse to let myself off is that its because my husband works shift hours. He works 12 hour shifts but make it 14 with his commute and getting ready. These last 6 months its been 6 am-8pm. But he only has to do that 15 days out of the month. I always try to start a schedule when he is home which never works because we want to play, go the beach, or the zoo. He now is back to this same schedule just at night time. He is living at 6pm and arriving home 7:30 am and only 15 days a month. I know I could accomplish all that needs to be done if I just schedule it out and do my best to follow. I open to any and all suggestions.
This week I'm going to get up at 7 am and greet my hubby and schedule the first half of my day and so my best to stick to it. I'm also suppose to close and move into our house sometime this coming week.
Lord, please give me the peace and patience needed during this week of still living around boxes and waiting for all the paper work to go through so we can move. I know its in Your hands and it will all work out in your timing. Please help to establish new habits that I may honor you with the way I spend my time. In Jesus Name Amen.

Welcome to the SMARTy pants club, as I like to call it. I love it! I look forward to my kids doing stuff like sleeping until after 7, right now sleeping until 7 would be an improvement. Wow, that schedule does sound tricky to work around. I guess you could come up with a couple different schedules depending on his work hours. What I did was write out a loose schedule for me & my kids, we don't follow it exactly because things come up. The biggest thing that has helped me is assigning 'chores' to different days so I don't fall behind {as easily} and I'm not overwhelmed {as often}. I hope you find something that works for you. Good luck this week!
